Remember a few weeks ago when I said I would post a couple of the smash cake pictures? Well, here they are!

I'm back from vacation, rejuvenated and ready to work!

Before my trip I met these two lovely girls at the park for some photos. First let me tell you that their "thing" right now is catching butterflies. They aren't your casual butterfly catchers, these girls are serious! Not only do they catch them but they know what kind of butterfly they caught within seconds. Impressive! And yes, they released all of the butterflies before leaving the park.

1st Birthday | Winston Salem Child Photographer

This was fun. The family came to the studio for a smash cake shoot last week to celebrate this happy little guys first birthday. Did I mention happy? He is all smiles all the time, so sweet and cute. I didn't even get to the smash cake pictures yet but just had to put up a sneak peek anyway. I'll post again with some cake pictures.

This was an interesting shoot. When we started it looked like the sky was going to open up and rain on us but I saw light in the distance and was hoping it would stay dry. About halfway through, the sky did open up and it poured. Not a light rain but it poured. The kids were great during the whole thing and had some fun playing in rain and catching raindrops in their mouths. Fortunately when it rained we were near the only sheltered area at the gardens so all was not lost! We waited out the rain and started shooting again. The family was great and even though it was so close to bed time the kids were fantastic!
